HERA
The J-6-style chord groovebox for the M-VAVE FM-1, running in your browser
Play with the mouse or touch, or the computer keyboard: Z S X D C V G B H N J M , = C4 to C5, Q 2 W 3 E R 5 T = C5 up. Space = PLAY, Shift = GLO. Knobs: drag up and down, or scroll. This is the real HERA firmware, compiled to WebAssembly.
Sounds
64 Juno-style sounds in 8 banks. Click one to load it into the current pattern; the sliders are the eight panel knobs (K1–K4, and with GLO).
Chord sets
All 100 J-6 chord sets. Pick a set, then click a chord to hear it (chord mode turns on).
Phrases
9 styles × 12 variations. Styles 6–9 show the phrase itself, as measured from a J-6 (orange = accent).
Sequencer
The current pattern's 64 steps. Click a step to edit it on the device (then play keys to enter notes, SEQ to finish).
Settings
The same list as the device's settings page (EDIT). On the device, Clear pattern and Factory reset are at the bottom of that page: choose one with PRESETS and hold SAVE.
Reset
Clear pattern empties the steps of the current pattern (its sound, tempo and settings stay). Factory reset erases all 64 patterns and the settings, here in the browser's FM-1 memory.
Project
The 64 patterns and the settings. Saved in this browser, or as a file.
MIDI
Play the browser HERA from a MIDI keyboard, and send its notes and clock to another app or synth.
